Our call from 02032 869 261 including a new payment method

Our member of staff was called today from 02032 869 261 (actually displays as 00-02032869261 on their mobile) again it was an Indian call centre, this time the caller gave the name ‘Andrew Smith’.

They were asking for an activation code in order to pay out the £8,000 loan, when he was asked how we go about getting this activation code he used our staff members’ postcode to find a local mini-market.  We were told to go here and load £266 onto a 3V Visa prepaid card (visit www.3vprepaid.com for more information) which we would receive a receipt for, with a reference number, as well as an account number for the card and this is what they call an activation code.

Obviously you are going to give them the details of the card and the reference on the receipt and somehow they will take that money and never send you the £8,000 loan.

As always, if you have received a call or have any more information about this number or the scam in general then please comment below.

  1. Offered me a loan and told me to pay £150 to a local shop.. Asked for loan documents, then luckily found this website…..

  2. I have recently applied for a loan. And I have been non stop contacted by a number claiming to be unsecured personal loans company. The person claimed her name was Catherine Thomsen but was of Indian origin and went through some personal details and said I was approved for a loan of 1500.00 that could be transferred into my bank within 15 minutes. They just needed my bank details. I said i was unwilling to give out details without signing any contracts or receiving confirmation. Thank heavens for Internet. I asked for a website address and she gave http://www.quickcashuk.co.uk. She said I could check out the company and she would call me back min fifteen minutes. I did check the website which seemed very professional and legitamet however when I contacted the telephone number on the website I spoke to a Liverpudlian gentleman who as I suspected had never heard of me at all. He took the number and would investigate himself. They called me back as promised bang on fifteen minutes later and when I told her that the company had never heard of me she said that is because only she has my details as the loan had not gone through to the processing department yet. I told her that I would not give any bank details without seeing a contract and they sent me a very poorly spelled email. I await to see if they would call me back again. I warn everyone no matter how desperate you are if it is too good to be true then it probably isn’t……. Don’t part with your bank details or any money………. Watch this space
