Metropolitan Police Service

In April we were contacted via email by an officer from the Metropolitan Police Service, they had received a complaint from a member of the public which was identical to those listed on our blog.

The person had been ‘cold called’ and asked to pay with Ukash vouchers for a loan which they didn’t receive, again the person had not applied with us but had been given our details during the call.

While speaking to the officer he said this type of scam was becoming quite common and he thought our idea of the blog was a good way to raise awareness to help people from falling victim to the scammers.
