We have been made aware over the last couple of days that the scammers are using various new phone numbers and company names when contacting people, as before they are designed to look like UK based numbers but we believe they are in fact based abroad. If you are contacted from any of the numbers listed on this blog and the caller claims to represent any of the companies named below, DO NOT proceed with any transaction and if you have actually made a recent loan application, please report the matter to the company you applied with.

New Email address

Following the previous reports of the scammers using the email address ‘unsecuredloanforyou@gmail.com’ we reported them to Google and asked for their email account to be shut down.

We have now received an email advising us that the scammers seem to have set up a new email account and are still contacting people with fake loan agreements containing our company details.

The new address they are using is unsecuredloan4you@gmail.com, if you have received any contact from either of these addresses then please report it to us immediately.

We have received a report today that the scammers are now using a new telephone number of 0208 1448046. If you have been contacted from this number please do not proceed with any payment and report it to us as soon as possible.

Fake Loan Agreement

If you are sent an email containing a ‘Loan agreement’ seemingly from Unsecured Loans For You Ltd, please do not proceed and report this to us immediately.

Unsecured Loans For You Ltd are not a direct lender, therefore we do not send loan agreements to anyone who applies with us.

Below is an example of a loan agreement which the scammers are sending to people from a gmail.com account. They have used all of our correct company details on the header, even the logo which they must have taken from our website, however Unsecured Loans For You Ltd do NOT have any director or employee named Simon F Dunn, and there are various PO box addresses on the agreement which we have no knowledge of, this paperwork seems like it has probably been taken from another legitimate businesses website without their knowledge.

We believe the scam originates outside the UK with telephone numbers designed to look like locally based numbers.

The callers introduce themselves with British sounding names, see examples of some which have been reported to us below:

Colin Roberts
Mr D Darsono
Mark Wilson

If you are contacted from any of the numbers or email addresses listed in our blog and they give any of these names, please report it to us immediately as you have been targeted by the scammers.

Action Fraud

Over the last two weeks we have received further reports from people who have never applied with us being ‘cold called’ from the number 0161 4080177 and asked to make ‘upfront’ payments for loans which do not exist, again the scammers are claiming to be calling from Unsecured Loans For You Ltd.

To clarify, we are a loan broker, we don’t provide direct finance, additionally we do NOT make outbound calls to our clients requesting payments of any kind, we are completely based online. If you are contacted by anyone claiming to be working for us and asking for payments, please do not proceed with any payment and notify us immediately.

Some of the reports told us that in addition to being asked to pay via Ukash, MoneyGram, or Western Union, they were also told they could pay into certain UK bank accounts.

Once we received this information we immediately notified the banks in question and had those accounts frozen. Following this we passed all of the information we have regarding this on to the team at http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ we believe this scam is being operated from abroad but as UK bank accounts are now being used the Police will be able to conduct an investigation into who exactly opened those accounts.

New Email Address

Once again the scammers are back claiming to be our company.

They are emailing makeshift loan agreements and other details from a gmail account:

We have received an email today from another member of the public who has not made an application with us, they had been contacted from the number 0161 408 0177 by someone asking them to make payments and claiming to work for us. Again we have advised this person not to make any such payments, we do not make outbound calls requesting payments of any kind.
