Amazon’s Top Ten Festive Toys Revealed

After Argos and John Lewis, Amazon has now released what it expects to be this year’s best-selling Christmas toys.

Old festive favourites feature as always like Harry Potter and Paw Patrol, with the latest trends also in there with interactive slime and robotics.

Sriram Parthasarathy toys category leader at Amazon.co.uk said of the list: “The most exciting moment of Christmas Day is watching children unwrap their presents. Amazon offers thousands of top rated toys, including everything from unicorns to family board games and our top 10 list includes the latest and greatest toys that will be in popular demand this festive season.”

The list is as follows:

1.    Paw Patrol — Ultimate Rescue Fire Truck , £64.93

2.   Boxer — Interactive AI Robot Toy (Black), £79.99

Next on the list a fully interactive robot who “delivers big fun” and can be paired with the Boxer app on your childs phone. Aged for children 6+ the quirky robot comes with 10 game cards and can express a range of emotions.

3.      Barbie FRM19 Careers Care Clinic Ambulance , £37.49

Barbie is very rarely out of the top ten toys and it is no different for 2018. The care clinic is an ambulance and hospital play-set that includes over 20 themed pieces.

Now your child can roll the ambulance to the rescue and activate the working lights and siren with a button.

4.      Nerf E2281EU4 Laser Ops Pro Alphapoint , Pack of 2, £44.78

Nerf guns continue to be popular, but this year Nerf has excelled itself with the laser set, complete with light and sound effects. It comes as a 2 pack, with a quick reload button and unlimited ammunition. Kids can now track performance, find and track enemies and even customise the blaster.

5.      Poopsie Slime Surprise Unicorn , Pink Or Rainbow, £49.99

The slime craze at its very best with this next toy, the Poopsie Slime Surprise. With 10 “magical” surprises the unicorn is fed bits of food, which is actually slime powder and ultimately makes slimy glittery unicorn poop. It includes a poop character keychain and collectable bottle.

6.     Strictly Come Dancing Board Game , £28.88

Aimed at players aged 8 and above the popular TV show can be brought to life in your living room with trivia questions, challenges and mini dance-offs.

7.      LEGO 75955 Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Train Toy , Wizarding World Fan Gift, £73.99

Lego is another toy rarely out of the top ten and with the added magic of Harry Potter this next toy is an absolute must for fans of both. The Hogwarts Express train set is predicted to be one of the biggest sellers. It comes with the railway bridge and Platform 9¾ too.

Minifigures include: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin and the Trolley Witch, plus Dementor and Scabbers figures.

8.      Little Live Pets 28813 Una Wrapples Toy , Multi-Colour, £16.99

Little live pets now have an extensive and established range to tempt the children.

The wrapples are wearable and come with slap bands that secure onto the wrist. Available in three colours, Princeza, Skyo and Una, their eyes light up to match mood changes.

And when you’ve had enough?………… it’ll go to sleep when tipped upside down. You’ll may wish to remember that bit!!

9.      Chow Crown , £21.99

After the success of Pie Face, there’s now another food-based family board game in town.

Players wear a crown decorated with dangling forks that you then load with your choice of foods, tasty or not (the food isn’t included!)

The crown spins and plays music as you desperately try to eat the food off the forks before the music stops. So, is it as messy as Pie Face? I guess that depends on which snacks you enjoy !!

10. L.O.L. Surprise! Bigger Surprise! , £84.99

The L.O.L Surprise Bigger Surprise is back bigger and better than ever for 2018.

Last year’s version set parents back £59.99 but the hefty price didn’t put people off.

The new limited edition toy will feature 60+ Surprises and is available to pre-order from toy retailers now.
